Design

Even though the Anglepoise Original 1227 wall light does not have the characteristic spring balancer of its big sister, the Anglepoise Original 1227 desk lamp, it still is a highly adaptable light fixture. The cone-shaped shade made of high-quality stainless steel with the characteristic indentation is held by metal bracket that is connected to a wall mount made of aluminium. The bracket allows you to tilt the lamp head of the Original 1227 as desired. For a high ease of use, the switch is located at the bottom of the wall mount. Furthermore, as a stylish detail, the lamp head is connected to the wall mount by means of a coloured braided cable.

Original 1227 wall light: needs-based zone light

In the standard position, the Anglepoise Original 1227 focuses its light directly downwards without glaring. However, thanks to its exemplary flexibility, the lamp head can be moved in any desired direction. In this way, the Original 1227 may function as a spotlight above a picture or as a reading light above a desk. As for the illuminant, light11 recommends using an LED filament lamp. This sort of illuminant combines the radiation characteristics of a conventional light bulb with the efficiency of an LED lamp. Just like a classic incandescent lamp, the LED filament bulb emits its light evenly in all directions. Thereby, you turn your Anglepoise wall lamp into a real energy-saver without having to cut back on the light quality.
