The Artemide Megaron Terra LED is the modern version of the design classic by Gianfranco Frattini from 1979.The elegant floor lamp impresses by its timeless look that was equipped with modern LED technology. The cross-sectional elliptical profile of the body of the Megaron Terra LED impressively rises up to a height of 1.82 m towards the ceiling and it is either available with an anodised aluminium or a black surface finish. The body of the Artemide Megaron rests on a round base made of steel that is coated with a thermoplastic resin. This gives the floor lamp from Artemide an exclusive and soft feel. Gianfranco Frattini received numerous awards e.g. the Compasso d'Oro-ADI for the original design of the Megaron Terra LED.

Megaron Terra LED: soft and pleasant ambient lighting

The floor lamp from Artemide emits the light directly towards the ceiling via the LED lamps integrated into the top. Here, it is reflected as uniformly diffused and glare-free ambient lighting. This means that the Artemide Megaron Terra LED provides for a comprehensive basic lighting. At the top, a powerful LED module with a luminous flux of 3,500 lumens is located – while it only consumes 45 watts. This means that the Megaron Terra LED shines brighter than a conventional 200 W incandescent lamp. Thus, this floor lamp turns out to be an environment-friendly lighting solution.
