The Artemide Tolomeo Terra doppio is the ideal standard lamp for those who have use for more than one lamp arm. The icon of elegant industrial design now comes as a pair of twins and impresses just like its famous predecessor, the Tolomeo Tavolo, with a filigree appearance and precious surfaces. Design connoisseurs will delight in the contrast between the shiny, polished aluminium on the base and arm of the lamp and the smooth satin-finished aluminium of the lamp head.

Tolomeo Terra doppio – double flexibility

A swivel arm with ingenious spring balance system extends from the stable stand to a height of 1m. The height of the second arm can be adjusted thanks to the flexible holder on the stem. Its flexible articulated arms, which can be extended to a maximum of 130 cm, and the multi-directional heads turn the Tolomeo Terra into an extremely versatile floor lamp. An interesting feature of this lamp is the subtle hint of soft ambient light emitted towards the ceiling through a small opening in the lamp heads. For operating the Tolomeo Terra doppio two lamps with an E27 base are required. light11 recommends using halogen lamps for warm-white light with brilliant colour rendering.

Tolomeo doppio standard lamps for the living room and the study

The Artemide Tolomeo Terra doppio is a perfect reading light. As such, it is suitable to be used in many places. In the living room, for instance, the floor lamp may be placed next to an armchair or a couch. The advantage over conventional floor lamps is that it can be used to provide two people with flexibly adjustable reading light at the same time. Placed next to a desk and possibly a bookshelf in the study, the Tolomeo Terra doppio proves particularly useful as well in illuminating the bookshelf while spoiling the desk surface with pleasant zone light.
