Belux LEIA floor lamp – sculptural floor lamp with an imposing lighting effect
Leia by
Belux is a minimalist floor lamp that virtually looks like a majestic piece of art due to its impressive size and the imposing lighting effect.
The
Belux Leia floor lamp already catches the eye with its striking size of almost 2 metres. Its luminaire body is made of polycarbonate, a transparent, extremely solid synthetic material that ensures a uniform diffusion of light. The
Leia 10 floor lamp houses a total of three lamps that significantly contribute to achieving the fascinating lighting effect of this floor lamp.
Leia floor lamps: lighting effect as desired
Two fluorescent tubes (optional) with a powerful light output make the
Belux Leia floor lamp shine in a bright light. The light emitted is shaped by the opal foil that reduces glare and thereby ensures a pleasant brightness. The upper part of the Leia by
Belux houses an (also optional)halogen lamp that ensures indirect lighting similarly to a floor uplighter. A special feature of this light is that the halogen lamps and the two fluorescent lamps can be dimmed and switched on and off independently from each other. This means that this
Belux light allows the user to realise different variations of lighting, starting from bright ambient lighting to atmospheric mood lighting. Thus, the right light intensity can always be ensured.
The
Belux Leia floor lamp creates a further visual impact by means of the bottom, semi-transparent part of the light column. This section absorbs the light of the upper part without cutting it off. This creates a smooth transition that seemingly makes the floor lamp float weightlessly within the room. Thanks to its harmonious lighting ambience and its representative look, the
Belux Leia is excellently suited for a
living room up to a size of 20m². Here, the
Leia floor lamps attracts all the attention also because of the contrast between the matt luminaire body and the high-gloss lamp base.
Additionally, the
Leia floor lamp light family includes a table lamp and a floor lamp that are also available from our shop.
The
Belux Leia floor lamp was created by the designer Naoto Fukasawa in 2009. The designer born in the Japanese prefecture of Yamanashi in 1956 is one of the pioneers of Minimal Design. This approach tries to avoid attracting any attention at all costs. The designer strives after creating designs which are dominated by unobtrusiveness. The things should never force themselves on the viewer but should rather become part of the everyday life thanks to their usefulness. Naoto Fukasawa coined the term "Super-Normal Design" for this kind of design.
