Design

The DCWéditions Lampe Gras No 304 SW wall light black is a French industrial design classic. As early as 1921, Bernard-Albin designed this flexible and robust wall light. Since 2008, the French light manufacturer DCWéditions has been selling it as a re-edition. The wall light is characterised by a dome-shaped shade, which is 14 cm in diameter and may be flexibly adjusted by means of a jointed arm. The astonishing flexibility of the Lampe Gras 304 SW is also the main reason for its popularity. Even the world-renowned architect Le Corbusier swore by the Lampe Gras for its excellent reliability. A further feature of the wall light by DCWéditions is the wide range of different versions. The lamp shades range from colourful variants such as red and yellow to fine copper surfaces. However, please note that the "copper raw" version of the shade takes some time to develop a characteristic patina. When shipped, the surfaces are still new and shiny.

Lampe Gras No 304 SW wall lights: target-oriented zone lighting

The DCWéditions Lampe Gras No 304 SW provides needs-oriented zone light. In addition, the shade of the luminaire may be rotated and swivelled thanks to a flexible joint. Another ball joint, which connects the lamp arm to the wall mount, offers even more flexibility. Thereby, the light emitted can always be directed to the desired point. Furthermore, the wall light may easily be switched on and off while sitting or lying in bed by means of a switch under the wall bracket. light11 recommends using an LED filament light bulb, as they stand out for their excellent energy-efficiency and a radiation angle which is similar to that of classic incandescent light bulbs: they evenly supply light in every direction, which is not the case for retrofit LEDs. What is more, LED filament light bulbs are just as efficient, which turns the Lampe Gras No 304 SW into a real energy-saver.
