The Fabbian Lens LED, also called Lens F46, is more reminiscent of an art installation than of a lamp. The work of the Czech artist Lucie Koldova consists of a perforated, slightly curved metal disc – therefore "lens" – and an LED spotlight. Both are connected by wafer-thin, barely visible cords, so that the pane seems to float under the spotlight. When switched on, the Fabbian Lens creates harmonious lighting underneath itself through the recesses, while at the same time illuminating the ceiling, creating fascinating light/dark transitions through the reflection on the pane. In addition, the lens itself shines like a sparkling night sky – an enchanting effect.
The Fabbian Lens LED is often used above tables. In the living room it spoils a coffee table with soft zone light and transforms it into an inviting light oasis. At the same time, the light reflected from the ceiling provides soft room lighting. In the dining room it is mounted above the dining table, which ,thanks to this outstanding pendant, is transformed into a cosy banquet table where people can relax and enjoy their meal at the table.
