Design

The Flos Frisbi can be divided into two segments: a light head attached to the supply line of the pendant light that is hanging from the ceiling and that is provided with a nickel-plated caul plate reflector. And an opal disc made of injection-moulded PMMA with a hole in the middle that is connected to the supply line by means of three fine steel cables. The plastic disc of the pendant light swings directly below the light emission aperture. The Frisbi from Flos is an ageless classic created by Achille Castiglioni in 1978. This designer light still enjoys great popularity today.

Frisbi pendant lights: combined zone lighting and mood lighting

Flos Frisbi combines direct zone lighting and indirect mood lighting and thereby ensures a special lighting atmosphere. Like a classic pendant light, it emits a part of its light directly downwards through the recess in the eponymous opal diffuser disc. The other portion of the light is reflected through the matt surface of the disc and is uniformly distributed upwards. Frisbi from the Italian light manufacturer Flos is supplied including a 70 W halogen light bulb. These lamps stand out for a brilliant colour rendering. Naturally, this pendant light can also be equipped with an energy-saving LED retrofit lamp.
