The secret to success of the Glo-Ball C1 from Flos is the bulged, oval shape of this ceiling light that adds a unique touch to this ceiling light and that has a special appeal on the viewer. The Flos Glo-Ball C1 impresses by its high-quality workmanship: the mounting bracket of the glass sphere is made of die-cast grey painted aluminium alloy. The ceiling bracket made of up to 30% glass fibre reinforced polyamide. Jasper Morrison, the designer of this elegant ceiling light, is known as the pioneer of “New simplicity”. Here, the design never draws attention to itself; the shapes are reduced to the essentials. The aesthetic clarity of the elegant Glo-Ball C1 is a representative of this original approach.

The shade of the Glo-Ball is made of hand-blown opal glass and is provided with a velvety-silky surface finish.

Glo-Ball C1 ceiling lights: soft ambient lighting

Thanks to its hand-blown opal glass sphere with the smooth surface, the Flos Glo-Ball C1 stands out for a strikingly uniform illumination. In order to individually adjust the lighting effect it is recommended to use a dimmer instead of a wall switch. By means of the dimmer, the light intensity of the Glo-Ball C1 can be continuously controlled. This way, it is ensured that the ceiling light by the Italian light manufacturer Flos always supplies the required light intensity – from atmospherically glowing to brightly illuminating light. light11 recommends equipping the ceiling lamp by Flos with a halogen light bulb, as it provides a brilliant colour rendering and a high light intensity.

Moreover, the Glo-Ball C1 from Flos can also be mounted on the wall. Here, the ceiling light looks particularly great in the living room as it suffuses the surrounding area with softly glare-free ambient lighting. This ceiling light also creates a fabulous lighting atmosphere in the bedroom which can be individually controlled in connection with a dimmer.
