Design

The Flos IC Lights F2 is a piece by the Cypriot star designer Michael Anastassiades. He created the floor lamp based on a true incident: during a walk through the streets of a big city, he observed a juggler who let glass spheres slide over his fingers. This had a lasting impression on the young designer so that he instantly grabbed his drawing board and started designing a light that offered the same floating charm. The result of this creative outburst is the IC Lights F2, a floor lamp with a purist elegance. A hand-blown opal glass sphere that seems to be floating rests on a filigree brass frame. Moreover, the reduced design language and the high-quality materials of the floor lamp from Flos remind us of the principles of the Bauhaus style.

IC Lights F2 floor lamps: bright basic lighting

The Flos IC Lights F2 uniformly emits its light in all directions and suffuses its surrounding area with softly diffused light. Furthermore, the light intensity of the floor lamp can be continuously controlled by means of the integrated dimmer. This means that you can switch between a comprehensive general lighting and a harmonious mood lighting, as required. For brilliant light with an excellent colour rendering, light11 recommends using a halogen lamp for the IC Lights F2. Alternatively, the floor lamp from Flos may also be operated using an energy-saving lamp or an LED retrofit. These are beneficial, as they require less energy.
