Design

The Flos Ray F2 particularly convinces with its warm, pleasant lighting effect and the expressive look. Being a creation by Rodolfo Dordoni, this modern floor lamp represents a combination of a power line and a lighthouse. The unconventional look of this floor lamp is additionally reinforced by the use of chrome-plated steel. A cylindrical diffuser is located on the pole-like base. This floor lamp’s shade is available in three different versions: black and white aluminium and grey-coloured glass. Dordoni designed the Ray F2 in 2007 for the Italian light manufacturer Flos. The renowned company deliberately focuses on functionality. Clearly defined designs and high-quality materials provide the Flos lights with a typical flair.

Ray F2 floor lamps: comprehensive ambient lighting

Due to the way it is designed, the Flos Ray F2 supplies warm-white, atmospheric ambient light as well as focused reading light. The floor lamp is supplied including a clear halogen illuminant. It stands out for its power of 140 watts and a light intensity of 2,800 lumens. Thus, the Ray F2 supplies brilliant light with an excellent colour rendering index. Alternatively, this floor lamp by Flos can also be operated using LED retrofit lamps. Then, this light source turns into a modern energy saver that additionally reduces the energy costs.

Floor lamps for a tasteful living ambience

The integrated foot-operated dimmer allows the light intensity of the Flos Ray F2 to be individually controlled. This makes it an elegant lighting object for the dining room, the living room as well as the bedroom. However, hallways and entrance halls also benefit from the pleasant lighting effect of the Ray F2 by Flos. Its additional adjustment possibilities also make this versatile light source a suitable reading light next to an armchair or a sofa. Thanks to its plain look, it easily blends into the existing living ambience.
