Design

The Flos Smithfield C Halo is a tasteful ceiling light with a reduced design. Despite its plain appearance, the Smithfield light has an extraordinary presence. When creating this ceiling light Jasper Morrison was inspired by the traditional lights from the London Smithfield Market. Their plain functionality and timeless design language impressed him in a way that he decided to create a lasting memorial to the market lights by means of this ceiling light. For glare-control and the diffusion of the light, the bottom opening of the aluminium shade is provided with a diffuser made of polycarbonate.

Smithfield C Halo ceiling lights: softly diffused ambient lighting

The Flos Smithfield C Halo diffuses its light downwards and thereby produces a harmonious and uniform ambient lighting. Thus, the ceiling light creates a pleasant ambient lighting that invites you to sit back and relax. The Smithfield is supplied including a powerful halogen rod. This light bulb allows this ceiling lamp from Flos to provide warm-white light with a brilliant colour rendering index. With a light intensity of 5,000 lumens it is also able to supply large rooms with bright ambient light.

Ceiling lamps for a harmonious general illumination

The Flos Smithfield C Halo can be used wherever uniform illumination is required, for instance, in a living room, a bedroom or an office. In these rooms, it uniformly distributes its light and thereby ensures a harmonious basic lighting. However, the ceiling light from Flos also cuts a fine figure in halls, foyers or reception areas by providing for a pleasant feel-good atmosphere. Thanks to its unobtrusive look, the Smithfield additionally easily blends with almost every environment. However, its high-quality workmanship still makes it absolute eye-catcher.
