The Flos String Light presents itself as a modern lighting solution with a fascinating design concept that allows for many installation options. The most striking feature is that while many other light fixtures try to hide their cable connections as good as possible, the String Light purposefully uses the cables as a design element. By means of hooks and eyes, the pendant lamp can be arranged within the room in various ways – patterns, graticules or complex geometrical forms – no limits are set to your imagination when arranging these Flos lights. The design of this pendant light from the Italian light manufacturer Flos was penned by the Cypriot designer Michael Anastassiades. When creating these lights, he was inspired by the look of the power lines that he observed during many train rides.

String Light pendant lights: easily configurable

By means of our practical configuration tool, the Flos String Light can be put together individually. In the first step, the power supply type is chosen: here, either a cover for wall installation or a practical floor switch can be selected. For an installation using the cover, it is required that the power outlet is located at the desired position. The floor switch is provided with an earthed safety plug and can therefore be connected to a power socket without any problems. Two pendant lights can be connected to the String Light system using one cover. During step two and three, different light heads can be selected for the pendant light from Flos. Here, two different versions are on offer: either the roundish Sfera or the cone-shaped Cono. Both versions are available with a cable length of 12 or 22 metres as well as with 5 or 7 hooks. If you require more than one cover for the installation of the String Light, further covers can be added to your order via the “Accessories” tab. If you additionally require further lights, it is possible to use the configuration tool for a second time. Click on the corresponding button to add the second selection to the shopping cart. Thinking of the lighting effect: the Flos String Light emits its light directly downwards. The light output of this pendant lamp can be easily controlled via Bluetooth by means of a special Flos app. Furthermore, the String Light is equipped with the latest LED generation. It only requires a power input of 26 watts to achieve a light intensity of a total of 1,980 lumens. This light also convinces with an excellent colour rendering index of Ra=93.

Versatile pendant lights

Thanks to its fantastic lighting effect, the Flos String Light particularly represents a breathtaking lighting installation for the living room or an entrance area with high ceilings. Here, it stands out for its warm light as well as the fascinating design of the supply line. Moreover, this pendant lamp from the premium manufacturer Flos is ideally suited to provide zone lighting for the dining table. Here, it lets the food and the decorative items on the table shine in the best light. The persons sitting at the table recede into the background in the diffused light. Furthermore, complex arrangements that illuminate different zones of the room are possible with this versatile system of lights without any problems. This means that the String Light may also take over several lighting tasks.
