Design

The Flos Tab T LED functions based on a simple and functional principle: a folded reflector made of plastic protects an efficient LED module from direct a direct view. A slim handle on the upper side of the table lamp’s head allows the shade to be rotated back and forth at an angle of 90°. Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby have been working together on folded objects since 1999. The Tab T from Flos from 2011 continues this design principle and translates it into a plain table lamp.

Tab T LED table lights: flexibly adjustable zone lighting

The Flos Tab T LED supplies focused light exactly to where it is required. This is enabled by the flexibly adjustable reflector of the table lamp that arches like a roof above the integrated LED module. It is covered with a special PMMA diffuser that makes sure that the light is diffused uniformly. This way, multiple shadows are prevented and a uniformly illuminated area is created. In terms of energy efficiency, the Tab T LED leaves nothing to be desired. The table lamp from Flos only requires 9 watts to produce a luminous flux of 347 lumens. This corresponds 49 % to the light intensity of a conventional 60 W incandescent lamp. This means that the table lamp is extraordinarily efficient and eco-friendly.

Table lamps for cosy reading light

The Flos Tab F LED was designed for use on a desk. Here, the table lamp supplies the working surface with completely glare-free zone lighting. This means that the eyes are protected and you may concentrate better. Moreover, the Tab T LED is also suitable to supply reading light in the living room when it is placed on a side table next to an armchair or a sofa. The pleasant, warm-white light emitted by the table lamp from the Italian light manufacturer Flos can be set as required, thanks to an adjustable reflector, so that a pleasant time while reading is ensured.
