Design

The Flos Wan ceiling / wall light impresses by its clear and reduced design. “Wan” is the Japanese term for “bowl”. By means of this design, Johanna Grawunder would like to draw attention to the importance the bowl has for human civilisation. The semicircular body houses a refined structure: a matt reflector and a cylinder that is held by a disc made of hardened safety glass are located inside the ceiling light. This combination makes sure that a direct look onto the illuminant is prevented. The body of the Wan ceiling light is made of high-gloss lacquered aluminium; the polished aluminium version is provided with a protective coating in order to prevent undesired fingerprints from appearing on the material. The glass diffuser of the Wan wall light from Flos is attached by means of replaceable retaining rings. Matching the exterior colour of the light, the retaining ring is supplied in two different colours.

Each Wan bears the logo of Flos prominently visible in the middle of the diffuser.

Wan ceiling / wall lights: brilliant zone lighting

The Flos Wan ceiling light emits its light directly downwards. Moreover, this wall and ceiling lamp convinces with its perfectly glare-free light. It is recommended to equip the Wan ceiling light with a halogen lamp with a G9 base. These lamps stand out for a brilliant colour rendering. Furthermore, this ceiling light from Flos is available in many other versions. In our shop, you may, for instance, also obtain a Wan spotlight and a recessed ceiling light from the same product series.

Ceiling lights for a focused illumination of hallways

The Flos Wan ceiling / wall light impresses by its excellent lighting effect. A pleasant, soft light cone is directly emitted downwards so that this ceiling light is an ideal lighting solution for hallways, staircases and small rooms. Combining several pieces of the Wan ceiling light also allows you to provide larger rooms with ambient lighting. Furthermore, the ceiling lamp from Flos easily blends with many different interior design styles.
