Design

The characteristic feature of the Wan S by Flos is the plain design. Thanks to its streamlined look, this pendant light develops a classy presence that discreetly captures the viewer’s attention. The Flos Wan S hides a glass diffuser below its shade made of fine aluminium. This pendant lamp is attached to the ceiling by means of a ceiling rose. It is coated in black and discreetly remains in the background due to its unobtrusive design language. This ceiling light is available in several versions: polished aluminium, glossy white or black and enamelled green; furthermore, two retaining rings (black and green) are included in the scope of supply.

Wan S pendant lights: glare-free zone lighting

The Flos Wan S diffuses its light directly and uniformly downwards. In this process, the hardened safety glass ensures a glare-free illumination as the G9 lamp is covered in order to prevent a direct look at the illuminant. Moreover, it is recommended to equip this pendant light from Flos with a halogen lamp. It ensures an excellent colour rendering which results in the colours and contours to be accurately reproduced. Furthermore, the Wan S is supplied including a 4 m long supply line so that it can be installed in rooms with a ceiling height of up to 5.5 m.

Pendant lamps that are convincing as solo artists and as part of a team

The zone lighting emitted by the Wan S is ideally suited to illuminate a dining table in the kitchen or in the dining room. Here, the food and drinks as well as the silverware come into their own. This pendant lamp from Flos also cuts a great figure above a coffee table in the living room. Due to its small diameter it is also possible to arrange several Flos Wan S pendant lights in a row which makes them suitable for use above a counter or a bar.
