Design

The cup inspired Johanna Grawunder to design the Flos Wan Spot LED, which acts as a monument to this object, which is important to both mankind and design. Its name "Wan" is Japanese and refers to traditional cups made of wood, ceramic or metal. The Wan spot light by the Italian light manufacturer Flos is manufactured from high-quality aluminium and it is available in four stylish colours. Thereby, it blends very well with any interior design concept.

Wan Spot LED ceiling lights: accentuating lighting

Thanks to its flexible adjustability, the Flos Wan Spot LED provides even lighting exactly where it is needed. The LED module behind a sheet of safety glass has a radiation angle of 80°. Thereby, the Wan spot light may be used to illuminate certain objects precisely. Furthermore, the Wan Spot LED impresses in terms of energy-efficiency. It merely consumes 9.2 watts to generate a luminous flux of 945 lumens, which is about the same as that of a conventional 75 watts incandescent lamp. Thus, the ceiling light by Flos proves to be exemplary in terms of sustainability. In order to dim the light, an additional transformer is needed. The type of the transformer determines which dimming system is to be used with the Wan Spot LED.

Ceiling lights for a homely living area

Installed in hallways, the Flos Wan Spot LED impresses by its high flexibility. It may, for example, highlight a chest of drawers, a mirror or a coat rack. At the same time, the accentuating zone lighting of the ceiling light by Flos gives the room additional depth. Furthermore, the Wan Spot LED is also well-suited to illuminate pictures, photos or paintings.
