The Foscarini Aplomb Sospensione GU10 impresses with its innovative design concept: the luminaire body is cast from a special cement, which gives the luminaire its individual concrete look. The funnel-shaped silhouette of the Aplomb Sospensione GU10 underlines the minimalistic design. The rustic charm of the concrete surface lends the Foscarini lights a very unique appearance which is reminiscent of buildings during the shell construction phase. Even though made from concrete, the extravagant pendant light that only weighs 1.9 kg is no heavyweight at all. The massive lampshade of the Foscarini Aplomb Sospensione GU10 is available in several colours: either in white, brown or in the original concrete grey.

The extraordinary design of the Foscarini Aplomb Sospensione GU10 is based on a concept of the two designers Paolo Lucidi and Luca Pevere who already cooperated with the Italian manufacturer Foscarini multiple times. Thanks to the courageous design concept, the Aplomb Sospensione was selected as "Light of the Year 2011".

Aplomb Sospensione GU10 – zone lighting directed downwards

The concrete body of the Aplomb pendant light from Foscarini simultaneously serves as a diffuser that directs the light downwards. This way, this pendant lamp achieves an accentuated illumination below it. The Aplomb Sospensione is provided with a GU10 socket. light11 recommends using an LED lamp with a GU10 base. The Sigor illuminant recommended is particularly efficient as it only requires a power input of six watts and additionally stands out for a long service life of 25,000 hours.

Aplomb Sospensione GU10: pendant lights not only suitable for the dining room

With its focused light, the Foscarini Aplomb Sospensione GU10 is ideally suited to supply zone lighting in the dining room, however, it also cuts a fine figure in other areas, e.g. above the coffee table in the living room. Thanks to the reduced design, the pendant light optimally blends with minimalist spatial concepts. Furthermore, the Aplomb Sospensione GU10 also shows its special character when it is used to form a contrast to warm structures such as natural wood.
