Design

The Foscarini Kurage Tavolo is the result of the creative cooperation between Luca Nichetto and the Japanese design studio Nendo that is managed by Oki Sato. The table lamp is completely made of high-quality, natural materials. For instance, the diffuser is made of fine, Japanese Washi paper. It rests on a wood frame that is provided with four filigree legs. Both elements together remind us of a jellyfish which is also the name giver for this table lamp from Foscarini. Kurage is the Japanese term for jellyfish. Owing to its delicate shape, it turns into a stylish eye-catcher that adds a Far Eastern touch to its environment.

Kurage Tavolo table lamps: reduced energy requirements

Thanks to the fine Washi paper diffuser, the Foscarini Kurage Tavolo supplies glare-free mood lighting in all directions. Equipped with an illuminant with warm-white light, it creates a pleasant atmosphere that invites you to sit back and relax. Moreover, the table light from Foscarini may only be equipped with a lamp with a maximum power of 20 watts. This means that particularly fluorescent lamps and efficient LED retrofits are well suited for the Kurage Tavolo. Equipped with such lamps, it turns out to be an extraordinarily efficient table lamp that is easy on the environment as well as the household budget.
