Design

The Lightyears Caravaggio W is a flexible bedside lamp that can be plugged into a conventional power socket. The wall light is an adaption of the Caravaggio pendant light, designed by Cecilie Manz for the Danish light manufacturer Lightyears. Here, the characteristic bell-shaped shade of the Caravaggio is attached to a bent metal pipe by means of a flex shaft. This metal pipe is connected to a slender wall bracket. As a little extra, the Caravaggio W is supplied with two covers for the wall bracket. Thereby, the wall light can be adjusted to fit with any wall. In order to blend with as many different environments as possible, the Caravaggio W by Lightyears is offered in many tasteful finishes.

Caravaggio W wall lights: needs-based, glare-free reading light

The Lightyears Caravaggio W emits its zone light directly downwards. The elegant lampshade provides for perfect glare control so that the wall light directs its reading light precisely where needed. Furthermore, the Caravaggio W proves particularly flexible. The lampshade can be oriented as desired thanks to the flexible shaft and the metal pipe that rotates by 180°. Thereby, the wall lamp by Lightyears offers lighting in a very wide angle. For equipping the Caravaggio W, light11 recommends using either a classic halogen lamp with 30 watts or an equivalent LED retrofit lamp. The former offer the advantage of a brilliant colour rendering, while the LEDs operate at a highly energy-efficient level, lowering your electricity costs.

You do not have to search for the switch somewhere down the cable. Instead, you can easily switch the wall light on and off while remaining in a lying or seating position. Furthermore, the Caravaggio W comes into its own as a practical and versatile reading light in the living room. Mounted above or next to a couch or an armchair, the wall lamp offers targeted, pleasant light.
