Just the way we know him: Ingo Maurer, a world-class German designer, is a passionate advocate of the extraordinary – of which the Babadul LED is just another proof. The extravagant shape of this floor lamp, which is reminiscent of an oversized calyx, is achieved by an elaborate process of folding and bending Japanese paper. Responsible for this process is the manufactory of Dagmar Mombach, who has already realised many luminaires from Japanese paper in cooperation with the team of Ingo Maurer.
In its inside, the Ingo Maurer Babadul LED hides a specially developed energy-efficient LED module with a heat sink. When the floor lamp is switched on, it emits wonderfully atmospheric mood light. In doing so, the Babadul also seems to glow from the inside. Placed next to a couch in the living room, the floor lamp radiates an aura of cosiness to make a relaxing evening even more pleasurable.
