Design

With the Ingo Maurer Blow Me Up 120 cm incl. power plug, designer Theo Müller has created quite a surprise. The pendant luminaire, which can simultaneously function as a floor and wall luminaire, must first be inflated. It is then hung up, leaned against a wall or laid on the floor, depending on the intended use. The Blow Me Up 120 cm comes as a rolled up plastic tube with an integrated LED strip, plug-in transformer and suspension, plus a bellows. The pendant light created in the workshop of Ingo Maurer is available in several attractive colours.

The Ingo Maurer Blow Me Up, here with a length of 120 cm (the larger 180 cm variant is also available at the light11 shop), emits its light harmoniously in all directions. The warm-white light rays emanating from the light strip are gently distributed into the surrounding area by the reflective side of the tube. Thanks to a gesture sensor, this extraordinary light fixture can be conveniently switched on and off. Equipped with a mains plug including transformer, it does not require complicated electrical installation – a nearby power outlet is sufficient to put the Blow Me Up into operation. The cable length is 300 cm. The integrated LED strip emits high-quality light with very good colour rendering. The highlight: the Ingo Maurer Blow Me Up can also be used as a pendant lamp, to which end it is supplied with a height-adjustable suspension. If the connection is not to be made via a socket, an optional ceiling canopy with integrated transformer can be ordered under "Accessories" down below on this page.
