Design

The Kartell Bloom pendant light, round S is the result of a new design approach bursting with drive. By means of this light, its designer Ferruccio Laviani explores the possibilities with regard to the interplay of plastic, light and colour. The beneficiary is the eye of the viewer that is pleased by the unique shape consisting of hundreds of flowers. The floral shade of this pendant light from Kartell has different characteristic features depending on the version. While the mint and the lavender versions shine in appealing colour shades, the transparent and white versions have an elegant plain look. In each case, this sphere-shaped version of the Bloom creates an impression of serenity and playfulness which awakes associations with a blooming bouquet of spring flowers. The attached flowers with a double flower corolla sparkle like noble crystals and create a bright light with fascinating shadows.

Bloom pendant lights: uniform ambient lighting

The light emitted by the Kartell Bloom pendant light, round S is emitted through the attached flowers and reflected multiple times by the crystal cut of the material. The lamps are contained inside the pendant light and are arranged in a way that allows a uniform, harmonious emission of light. The small fitted flowers are made of clear or white polycarbonate. The Bloom is supplied including the respective illuminants. The halogen lamps with a brilliant colour rendering ensure a uniform illumination of the lampshade. With a power output of 2,760 lumens this pendant light almost supplies as much light as a 250 W incandescent lamp.

Particularly the combination of differently sized pendant lights from Kartell – available with a diameter of 28, 53 and 80 cm – creates a pleasant feeling of a colourful spring flower composition above the table; you might even feel a touch of spring in the dining room or the kitchen. Furthermore, the Bloom creates a fresh and stimulating atmosphere with its uniform and warm light.
