The Louis Poulsen AJ T is a modern classic of Danish design. On the very day of the 50th anniversary of the creation by Arne Jacobson, Louis Poulsen reintroduced the popular table lamp in five new colours, which are based on the colour concept invented by the architect. The original design of the AJ T remains the same. It is still characterised by a whole in the lamp base, which gives the table lamp its timeless elegance and a touch of weightlessness. Morover, the asymmetrical shade, which can be moved upwards and downwards, is still the highlight of the AJ T. Thanks to the combination of functionality and design, it has maintained its popularity until the present day. The Radisson Blu Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, which was designed by Arne Jacobsen, still owns the original designs of the table lamp. These are part of the furnishing in five hotel rooms as a special surprise for design enthusiasts.

AJ T table lamps: needs-oriented zone lighting

The Louis Poulsen AJ T provides the optimal lighting for reading. Thanks to the flexibly adjustable shade, the table lamp always supplies a pleasant zone light. The light emitted does not glare thanks to the special shape of the shade. Thereby, the light is easy on the eyes, which helps you to stay focused over a longer period of time. In order to achieve a brilliant colour rendering and a warm-white light, light11 recommends halogen lamps with an E27 socket. Especially for activities which require an excellent display of colours and contrasts, a halogen lamp brings out the best in the AJ T by Louis Poulsen.

Table lamps for various areas of application

The Louis Poulsen AJ T captivates attention with its extraordinary, swivelling shade in an asymmetric shape, which provides the perfect distribution of light for reading. Thereby, the table lamp is best suited to be placed on a desk in the study. However, the AJ T also contributes to comfortable reading when placed on a side table next to an armchair or a couch in the living room. Moreover, the table lamp by Louis Poulsen may also function as a bedside lamp as it supplies a pleasant lighting in the bedroom.
