Design

By means of the Hope ø 72 cm from Luceplan, the award-winning designers Francisco Gomez Paz and Paolo Rizzatto created a pendant light that redefined the traditional chandelier and that leaves no viewer untouched. The unique feature of the Luceplan Hope ø 72 cm is based on its innovative surface quality: Fresnel lenses made of polycarbonate, a transparent and extraordinarily solid material. The lenses are provided with a facet cut that allows the light to be reflected multiple times and to always diffuse it in a fascinating manner. Thus, this pendant light creates glittering reflections, which in combination with the outer appearance arouse a stunning association of an oversized diamond. For this reason, this pendant light was named after the Hope diamond. The Luceplan Hope ø 72 cm is a magnificent combination of creative design and modern use of materials. Renowned prizes such as the Red Dot Award, the Compasso d'Oro and the Good Design Award prove the high quality of this interesting combination.

The Luceplan Hope ø 72 cm treats its surrounding area with a fascinating light show. The Fresnel lenses diffuse the light in all directions and create sparkling light reflections on the ceiling and the walls. However, despite all the brilliance, this luminaire also produces a very pleasant light that has a harmonious and pleasant effect. It is recommended to equip the Hope from Luceplan with a halogen lamp or an LED retrofit. The first one ensures a brilliant colour rendering, while the latter one is responsible for a high luminous efficacy.
