The Luceplan Soleil Noir Ceiling is shaped by a classic and poetic idea: the black sun (French: "soleil noir"). However, this ceiling lamp by the French architect Odile Decq is not a byword for melancholy but for a stylish and fascinating look. Beneath the prominent amorphous plastic shade of the ceiling light, there is a polycarbonate tray coated in black, which hides the LED module. This makes the Soleil Noir Ceiling a real eye-catcher, which becomes the central element of the interior design concept.

Soleil Noir Ceiling lights: softly glare-free ambient lighting

The Luceplan Soleil Noir Ceiling is provided with an LED module located in the black tray beneath the extensive shade, which emits its light directly upwards. The bright surfaces of the luminaire body softly diffuse the light and reflect it downwards without producing any glaring light. This creates a homely ambient lighting. In order to dim the light of this ceiling lamp, a five-core control cable is needed, which is connected to a push dimmer. The Luceplan ceiling lamp is also exemplary when it comes to energy efficiency. It offers an output of 3,800 lumens while consuming only 35 watts. Thereby, the Soleil Noir Ceiling may be considered a true energy saver that is beneficial for the environment as well as the household budget.
