Tango Terra floor lamps: indirect ambient lighting with a sculptural flair

While developing the Luceplan Tango Terra, Francisco Gomez Paz attached a lot of attention to the tactile elements. Only after a long period of testing, the designer was able to achieve the required haptics, dynamics and lighting effect. Here, he was particularly guided by the new possibilities offered by the LEDs. For this reason, the Tango Terra makes use of efficient light-emitting diodes, which are located in the triangular point of this floor lamp. The LED lamps integrated in the Luceplan Tango Terra stand out due to a high luminous efficacy and energy efficiency. The floor lamp by the Italian light manufacturer Luceplan produces a luminous flux of 3,120 lumens and it only requires 34 watts to do so. This means that it is virtually as bright as a 200 W incandescent lamp, while it only requires one-sixth of the electric power. Thus, it turns out to be an environmentally friendly and cost-cutting lighting solution.
