Design

The Marset Funiculi A wall light ranks among the absolute design classics from Spain. The wall lamp was developed in 1979 by Lluís Porqueras and is today distributed in a contemporary re-edition by the Catalan light manufacturer Marset. The sophisticated adjustability of the Funiculi was inspired by a cableway. Hence its name – funiculus is the Latin term for cableway. Its bowl-shaped shade can be moved up and down like a gondola along the wall bracket. Two clips ensure that the wall lamp remains in one piece.

Funiculi A wall lights: adjustable zone light

Thanks to its flexible adjustability, the Marset Funiculi A provides precise reading light. To this end, the lampshade can be rotated and its height can be adjusted as required. Since the shade curves far around the light source, the wall lamp always has excellent glare control. Another advantage is that the lamp head of the Funiculi A can also be directed to the left and right against the wall. As for the light source, light11 recommends using an E14 halogen candle-shaped lamp. This ensures brilliant colour reproduction and warm white light. In this way, the wall light by Marset always creates pleasant lighting conditions.
