Design

The onomatopoeic name of the Marset Tam Tam A is not a coincidence. Designer Fabien Dumas once took a walk through a park in Berlin when a group of drummers caught his attention, and the idea for the Tam Tam was born. The wall light is characterised by a cone-shaped lampshade made of metal which is available in various fresh colours. The lampshade is attached to an off-white wall mount. The light opening is covered by a satin-finished diffuser made of robust methacrylate. The creator of the Marset Tam Tam A is the Berlin-based French lighting designer Fabien Dumas, who is known for his innovative designs, which are always executed to the highest technical standards.

Tam Tam A – 360° of flexibility

In addition to its charming drum appearance, the Marset Tam Tam A boasts great flexibility. The lampshade of the wall light rotates 360°, directing the light precisely where needed. The methacrylate diffuser ensures a soft and glare-free light emission. The Tam Tam A requires one E27 lamp to work. light11 recommends using a halogen lamp for a warm-white light temperature and a high colour rendering. Alternatively, you may also use an LED retrofit/filament lamp if you prefer an energy-efficient operation.

The Marset Tam Tam A is suitable for a variety of lighting tasks. On the one hand, the wall lamp may function as a flexible reading lamp, for instance, beside a bed in the bedroom as a substitute for a bedside table lamp. On the other hand, the Tam Tam A by Marset may be used to accentuate a sideboard, a chest of drawers or a shelf in the living room.
