Design

With the Moooi Heracleum Endless LED, Bertjan Pot and Moooi founder Marcel Wanders have created a wonderfully natural looking pendant light. With its delicate lamp arms that go in different directions, the designer light is reminiscent of a tree and its ramifications. The natural look is intended, as the name proves: Heracleum is the Latin name for cow parsnip, a plant species from the umbellifer family. The Moooi Heracleum Endless LED combines its organic design with modern light sources: each branch has a polycarbonate lens that houses an LED module. The eponymous feature of this pendant luminaire is its modifiable, or rather expandable, design: thanks to optional connectors (to be found under "Accessories", it can be extended by further Endless exemplars – in both linear and angled form). Thus this pendant luminaire advances to an enchanting garland light that makes the heart of the beholder beat faster. The metal arms of the Moooi Heracleum Endless LED are finished with a copper or nickel surface, depending on the version.

Heracleum Endless LED: adjustable and "endlessly" extendable

The Moooi Heracleum Endless LED provides the room with diffuse light in all directions. In this way, this pendant luminaire creates particularly harmonious lighting. What's more, the numerous polycarbonate lenses can be flexibly aligned to ensure individual, very personal room lighting. If it is extended via the 90° or 135° connectors, its lighting effect will practically increase to infinity – which brings us back to the name of this pendant light. The Heracleum Endless is operated with innovative technology: its "branches" are painted with several layers of paint, which conduct the current as an "Electrosandwich". This eliminates the need for annoying cable connections. The LEDs of this pendant lamp require only a total of 12 watts for a luminous flux of 400 lumens, thus proving exemplary in terms of energy efficiency.
