Design

One morning, designer Ilaria Marelli observed how a strip of warm sunlight penetrated into her bedroom through a gap in her curtain, wandering through the room analogous to the position of the sun, taking on different shapes – this is how the idea for the Nemo Ara floor lamp LED was born, the lighting effect of which is based on the light event just described. The floor lamp respectively the ceiling uplight made of qualitative aluminium measures about 1.80 m in height and stands out due to its minimalistic, unusual form, which is reminiscent of a narrow monolith. Nemo's Ara floor lamp LED is thus becoming an associative object that attracts curious glances.

Designer

Ara floor lamp LED – adjustable double lighting effect

The Nemo Ara floor lamp LED impresses with a versatile adjustable lighting effect. It functions both as a wall and ceiling floodlight and can therefore perform several lighting tasks. It requires two lamps for this purpose. In its centre, this floor lamp accommodates a fluorescent tube that can illuminate the wall or the room as required. For this purpose, a reflector can be adjusted horizontally so that the lighting effect of the Ara floor lamp LED can be modified at any time. At the top, there is another light source whose light is reflected towards the ceiling and thus contributes to indirect room lighting. What is special: both light sources can be switched on or off independently of each other. In addition, a dimmer on the cable allows individual brightness control and thus opens up additional possibilities for personally designed lighting.
