The WA 24 table lamp from Tecnolumen is a light with its own history. In 1923, the Bauhaus teacher László Moholy-Nagy gave his student Wilhelm Wagenfeld the task of designing a light based on precise specifications – the result: an eternal classic that was to go down in history as Bauhaus light. The Tecnolumen Wagenfeld WA 24 table lamp is the only reedition authorised by Prof. Wilhelm Wagenfeld – a light that has lost none of its fascination for more than eight decades. Already shortly before the foundation of Tecnolumen in 1980, the company founder Walter Schnepel acquired the rights to the timeless table lamp. The Wagenfeld WA 24 table lamp is purposely made of modern materials such as opal glass and nickel. The result: a symbol for excellent industrial design that is rarely seen in this form and that received the iF Design Award in 1982.

Thanks to its opal glass shade, the Tecnolumen Wagenfeld WA 24 emits softly diffused mood light in all directions. Furthermore, the glass also prevents unpleasant glaring from occurring. For an energy-efficient use of the Wagenfeld WA 24, light11 recommends using LED retrofits or LED filament lamps. These stand out for their comparatively high luminous efficacy. However, classic halogen lamps also are very convincing in terms of the excellent colour rendering and are therefore also suitable for use with the table lamp from Tecnolumen.
