The slightly futuristic design of theVerpan VP Globe pendant light is based on a lunar inspiration. In 1969, the Danish designer legend, Verner Panton, watched the first moon landing on TV and interpreted this event as the beginning of a new technocratic era. Shortly after, he designed the VP Globe pendant light as his personal contribution to it: a transparent lamp body made of acrylic glass houses five reflectors made of aluminium. The illuminant is hidden in the centre. To add a little colour, the reflectors are painted in blue and red.

VP Globe pendant light: multiply reflected, soft ambient light

The Verpan VP Globe pendant light creates a fascinating lighting effect. The light coming off the illuminant in the centre is reflected into all directions, which creates soft, glare-free ambient light. Furthermore, the shade made of acrylic glass additionally softens the light emitted. In addition, the painted reflectors add some warmth to it. Please note, that the Verpan VP Globe pendant light is shipped without illuminants. light11 recommends using halogen lamps with an E14 or E27 base (depending on the size of the pendant light). Halogen lamps supply warm white light and are characterised by brilliant colour rendering.

Pendant lights for the living room and the dining room

The multiply reflected, pleasantly glare-free light of the Verpan VP Globe pendant light is particularly suited for the living room. There, it ensures an extensive base lighting and creates a harmonious atmosphere, which makes a relaxing evening so cosy.
